This proposed rule would retain the conservation, management, safety, and economic gains realized under the existing Rockfish Program and make minor revisions to improve administration of the Rockfish Program. This proposed rule is necessary to continue the conservation benefits, improve efficiency, and provide economic benefits of the Rockfish Program that will expire on December 31, 2021 without this proposed rule. This proposed rule is intended to promote the goals and objectives of the Magnuson-Stevens Fishery Conservation and Management Act, the GOA FMP, and other applicable laws. https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/2020/09/04/2020-18055/fisheries-of-the-exclusive-economic-zone-off-alaska-central-gulf-of-alaska-rockfish-program FYI’s Breaking: Pacific Marine Expo launches online experience for 2020 National Fisherman by Jessica Hathaway - August 31, 2020 As the pandemic continues to hamper in-person events, the organizers of Pacific Marine Expo in Seattle have decided to cancel the 2020 trade show at Century Link Field Event Center. https://www.nationalfisherman.com/breaking-pacific-marine-expo-launches-online-experience-for-2020
