Recycling old fishing nets is a fitting and timely sustainability goal for the fishery. BBRSDA’s Board of Directors and its members have expressed support for proactively addressing the issue of how to deal with old nets. Our goal with this pilot program is to advance the fishery’s net recycling effort in a fashion that addresses known challenges (such as stripping twine off nets) and creates an efficient/repeatable process to set up a net recycling program for future success. https://www.bbrsda.com/updates/2020/2/10/net-recycling-rfp-now-open McKinley Capital Management Acquires McDowell Group Alaska Business Magazine - February 5, 2020 ANCHORAGE—McKinley Capital Management has acquired McDowell Group, Alaska’s largest economic research firm.
