Fishing for the species was closed all summer, and fall salmon runs could look similarly dismal. Coho Salmon harvests have declined for three consecutive weeks with Chums seeing a very disappointing harvest this season. In the marketplace, products are moving quickly. Processors are even buying in the open market to ensure product for their programs and with that, processors are also taking PO’s in advance of fishing and pricing is subject to catch.
